Insurance Coverage
Mental health services are billed through insurance. We are in-network with many major plans. Patients are responsible for any copay, deductible, or coinsurance based on their individual benefits.

What to Expect

First Visit: A comprehensive 60 minute assessment covering your history, symptoms, and goals. Together, we create an individualized care plan.

Follow-Up Visits: Ongoing medication management, therapy support, and progress reviews.

ADHD-Specific Care

Initial ADHD Evaluation (First Visit):
Your first visit includes a full psychiatric evaluation, discussion of your history, and review of current symptoms and goals.

Objective Testing and Diagnosis (Second Visit):
As part of a complete ADHD evaluation, all patients complete a QBtech test. This is an FDA-cleared computerized test that takes about 20 minutes and is designed specifically to support accurate ADHD diagnosis.

The test measures three key areas often affected by ADHD:

  • Attention – how well you can stay focused

  • Impulsivity – how often you respond without thinking

  • Activity level – your movement and restlessness

The test feels a bit like playing a computer game, and many patients find it engaging. The results provide objective data that, when combined with your history and clinical evaluation, help us make a more confident diagnosis and guide treatment planning.

Cost of Testing:
  • Initial QBcheck test: $250 (one-time fee, not covered by insurance)

  • Optional recheck bundle: $375 (includes the initial test + one follow-up test to measure how well medication is working)

  • Individual recheck (if not bundled): $150

Ongoing ADHD Management:
If you begin stimulant medication, you’ll review and sign a Controlled Substance Agreement and participate in regular monitoring to ensure treatment remains safe and effective. While we accept insurance for visits, the QBtech testing fees are self-pay only.

Benzodiazepine Prescribing Policy

For patient safety, I do not take over existing daily benzodiazepine prescriptions from other providers. Benzodiazepines may be prescribed only on a short-term basis, with the goal of transitioning to safer long-term treatment options.

Patient Support

Between visits, you can reach out through secure portal messaging for questions, updates, or concerns. Providers typically respond within 1–2 business days.

Commonly Asked Questions

Can we talk about weight loss during my mental health visit?
Yes! At Midwest Mind & Body Healthcare, we recognize that mental and physical health are deeply connected. As part of a comprehensive mental health visit, we can also address weight, energy, and overall wellness when appropriate.

If you’re already being seen for mental health, weight-management support — including nutrition guidance and GLP-1 medication options — is included as part of your visit.

Separate weight-loss visits are only billed for patients who see us solely for weight management.

Do you offer therapy or just medication management?
We focus on medication management and supportive coaching, and often collaborate with local therapists for integrated care. If you don’t already have a therapist, we can help you find one who fits your needs.

Can you prescribe medications if needed?
Yes! As a duel certified Family and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I can prescribe medications when clinically appropriate. I  take a conservative, evidence-based approach, prioritizing safety, education, and collaboration with you throughout the process.

How soon can I get in?
I strive to offer quick access, and most new patients can be seen within 1–2 weeks. I also do my best to be flexible, so if you don’t see an appointment time that works for your schedule or if you need to be seen sooner, please reach out directly and I’ll do my best to fit you in.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes, I’m in-network with the following plans:

Aetna, Alliance Coal, Allied Benefit Systems, Ambetter, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Nebraska, Centivo/The Focus Plan, Lucent Health, Midlands Choice, Molina Healthcare of Nebraska, Nebraska Total Care, UHC Health Plan of Nebraska, UMR/Midwest Securities, and UnitedHealthcare.

Self-pay options are also available.

At this time, I am out of network with Medicare, Cigna, and Tricare.

If you’re unsure whether your plan is covered, feel free to reach out and I can verify your benefits.
